Freedom Fighters Still Live in the 21st Centry

I used to write for my local newspaper here in Mesquite, Nevada until I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was at that time, that I gave the editor my resignation notice due to my situation, for I wanted to spend that time to study what I had and what could be done on my part for this type of cancer.

So, it was during this time that in March of 2009 that I came across an article in the WorldNetDaily online edition about Oath Keepers. I read the article by Bob Unruh entitled, "Soldiers Pledge to refuse disarmament demands." Needless to say, I was amazed at what I read.

I was in the US Navy from 1963 until 1967, and I don't remember taking such an oath, but that's been many moons ago, and things like that to a young buck generally gets overlooked due to the state of mind that one's in at the time.

I was raised in a disciplined family from a young age, and that gave me direction and understanding of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I don't regret joining the Navy and serving my Country even when it was unpopular, but the unpopular were really the ones with no direction in life.

I don't regret the disciplined home that I was raised within, but I'm sad that many a young man and young woman has missed such a great opportunity and even opted out not to become military oriented as I and my generation, even though there was much descent.

But back to where I first heard about the Oath Keepers. I remember reading this article and it came at the right time that I needed it, for I was writing an article at the time that went right along with this WorldNetDaily article's ideology: Oath Keepers, Not On Our Watch!

And so, I began to talk about the ideology of the Oath Keepers at that time and the FEMA Death Camps, and how that our military would NOT guard the camp's entry gates to keep the citizens hostage.

But then one day at work this month, I was walking past a news stand and the headline in the Las Vegas Review Journal News Paper read, "Ready to Revolt" caught my eye, and I couldn't go any further until I read the article.

I knew then that I would join this organization to support the law enforcement officers and the military personnel who would not intern my fellowmen and women who were innocent bystanders in a government that could explode into turmoil.

In reading the LV Review Journal, I noticed that a usual Hate America group was there throwing comments bombs around which seem to only come from their mouth. Lies of racism, hate, and everything else negative.

This just emboldened me the more to become an Oath Keeper, just because of the lies and undocumented and unsupported proof and the propaganda of what the enemy states and stands for.

I then began to talk to people where I work and my family and friends about the Oath Keepers, and low and behold, the people whom I talked to began to join, and others just scoffed at me; however, that was expected.

To me, having a group like Oath Keepers means that never again will people be subjugated like they were during Katrina and enslaved within the locked 'Superdome' on our watch.

It's going to take time, I know, because many have been brainwashed into thinking that the lie is the truth and vice versa.

A 9th Cavalry Poem

He was getting old and paunchy

And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one.

And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
His tales became a joke,
All his buddies listened quietly
For they knew where of he spoke.
But we'll hear his tales no longer,
For ol' Bob has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer
For a Soldier died today.

He won't be mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.
For he lived an ordinary,
Very quiet sort of life.
He held a job and raised a family,
Going quietly on his way;
And the world won't note his passing,
'Tho a Soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth,
Their bodies lie in state,
While thousands note their passing,
And proclaim that they were great.
Papers tell of their life stories
From the time that they were young
But the passing of a Soldier
Goes unnoticed, and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution
To the welfare of our land,
Some jerk who breaks his promise
And cons his fellow man?

Or the ordinary fellow
Who in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his country
And offers up his life?

The politician's stipend
And the style in which he lives,
Are often disproportionate,
To the service that he gives.

While the ordinary Soldier,
Who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal
And perhaps a pension, small.
It's so easy to forget them,
For it is so many times
That our Bobs and Jims and Johnnys,
Went to battle, but we know,

It is not the politicians
With their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom
That our country now enjoys.
Should you find yourself in danger,
With your enemies at hand,
Would you really want some cop-out,
With his ever waffling stand?

Or would you want a Soldier--
His home, his country, his kin,
Just a common Soldier,
Who would fight until the end.

He was just a common Soldier,
And his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us
We may need his like again.
For when countries are in conflict,
We find the Soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles
That the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor
While he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage
At the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simply headline
In the paper that might say:

"OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,

A SOLDIER DIED TODAY."

Chicago-Style Intimidation

I was reading an article by Phyllis Schlafly when I noticed something that I had read before by another author. Even when I had seen it on TV, the incident didn't grab my attention until I read it in Ms. Schlafy's article entitled, "Obama's Chicago-Style Intimidation."

Ms. Schlafy was talking about how Obama's 'goon squad' the SEIU (Service Employees International Union) had punched, kicked and brutally beat an African-American by the name of Kenneth Gladney, who had attended one of the infamous town hall meetings.

However, this still didn't jog my memory about what this other author had said in his book entitled, "Unfound Loyalty" which is authored by Wayne Perryman. If you want a primer in 'Black History' this is the book.

But back to Ms. Schlafy's article. She stated that these 'goons' treated Mr. Gladney like this, because he was and African-American, and the 'Left' does NOT tolerate 'Conservative African-Americans.'

Mr. Perryman states in his book that, "From 1870 to 1930, the (Democratic) party used fraud, whippings, lynching, murder, intimidation, and mutilation to get their (the black) vote.

And upon doing this 'Goon-Style' intimidation from 1930 to 1960, the African-American people surrendered to the Democratic-KKK Party, thus making the African-American people again as slaves of the 'Old South.'

Today, we hear the term 'Racist' being thrown about by the Democrats, white and black, because if the African-American refuses to follow suit of the White KKK-Democrats, I'm sure that we will again see the 1870's again in the 21st Century.

The New Youth Corps

I’ve only heard stories of how one German Leader had convinced the youth of his country to become the leaders of Tomorrow’s Germany.

But today, there’s an organization called, “Organizing For America” (OFA) where Obama has hoodwinked our young college students into thinking that they, other than ‘earn college credits,’ can make extra spending money.

However, I’m sure that these students weren’t told that they would be the next ‘goose-stepping’ youth group the world hasn’t seen since the days of Hitler.

Am I calling Obama another Hitler?

No, and should you insist that I am, then you have already believed the lie and will most likely be my prison guard.

Just like the infamous Hitler, Obama too is a community organizer and a silver tongue sage, and he too will most likely lead a large number of our already indoctrinated college students further into the abyss of deceitfulness.

If anybody knows the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, specifically the Book of Proverbs, one remembers the maxim of chapter 22 and verse 6, which states: “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

By the time that these young men and women have graduated, they will have become full-fledged anti-capitalist, anti-Christian, anti-Constitutionalist, and goose-stepping Leftist / Communist as Van Jones, like Obama buddy and once ‘Green Job Czar.’

As parent-teachers of our youth, we must guide them in the ways of Truth and the American way, for I see many educationally neglected children walking with their parents trying to look like somebody else and not as an individualist.

As an individualist, one is not brainwashed into believing every lie that the supposed sage movie stars, musicians, and political leaders indoctrinate them with, even the TV programs to which our young babies sit and watch all day long condition the young mind, unaware.

Infringement upon the right of Free Speech

I was mad when I heard that the Obama Administration tried to place a ‘gag order’ upon the Humana Insurance Company to stop them from telling their policy holders about company benefits, a week or so ago. Anyway, the ‘gag order’ was not enforced, which was great news. However, I didn't realize how great a victory this was until today as I was eating lunch and heard the Humana commercial.

The Obama Administration told Humana in the Q.T. to, "SHUT UP!" But during their commercial today, I heard another voice, one that rang through out the United States as the commercial was running that said, "SHUT UP OBAMA!" Yes, Freedom of Speech is costly, even when it goes against a tyrannical government that doesn't respect the individual States Constituions, private companies or We the People's personal freedoms, but considers them as worthless words, fodder to be cast away.

Yet this Freedom of Speech needs to be kept free at all cost as does our Constitution, both Federal and State.

But beware of this fact, Freedom of Speech is a Double Edged Sword that cuts both ways and that's not freedom. And that's dangerous.

Hey Federal Government, "Don't Tread On ME!"

Great idea! One light bulb at a time...

First off let me say this, last week Dorothy and I went grocery shopping and it made me mad when all I saw were products that looked cheap and my brand named products were gone from the shelves.

The products that I saw were registered brand names called, "Great Value." Where it came from I have no idea. All I know is that the products were called 'Great Value.'

As I write this, I went to the refrig to look at the milk that we bought, since that was a 'Great Value' product, and to my surprise, I might have made a better choice of product that I thought.

Now the milk that we bought before was a cheap brand, because milk is milk, right? NOPE! And I don't care what the name is anymore, after I found out this information about cow’s milk.

The day before I was reading my health newsletter and it asked this question: "Know What's Really in Your Milk?" And the ingredient that it was talking about is called 'recombinant bovine somatotropin' or 'rBST'.

Okay, now that I've thrown around some big unrecognized words, what am I saying? This rBST is a genetically engineered variant of a growth hormone.

Okay, so? What's the big deal? Most of us all drink milk and we don't look at the label as we drink it, so what's your point?

Here's my point that I learned from my news letter: It states that, "Studies have shown that there could be a link between consuming this type of milk and an increased risk for breast, colon, and prostate cancers."

I know what you gonna say, 'Great!' 'Thank you, Mr. Reed.'

But here's the good news. MY new milk has a label that states:

"Our farmers have pledged to not treat any of their cows with any artificial growth

hormones. According to the FDA, no significant difference has been shown between milk

derived from rBST treated and non-rBST treated cows."

So, if there's not a significant difference between milk derived from rBST treated and non-rBST treated cows, what's the point?

This enetically engineered growth hormone helps the cow give more milk production and THAT IS ALL. Nothing more, just more milk produced by the farmer's cow.

Thus, it pays to know not only what you're buying as well as knowing where it was made; therefore, the information below was sent to me and I read it and it made sense to me, so I'm passing it on.

Why pay more for the same item that may even be inferior to the more expensive.

I was in Lowe's the other day for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose attachments. They were all made in China. The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in USA.

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else, even their job. So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track. Let's get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey's candy. I noticed though, that it is marked made in Mexico now. I do not buy it any more. My favorite toothpaste Colgate, is made in Mexico now. I have switched to Crest. You have to read the labels on everything.

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. In the light bulb aisle right next to the GE brand I normally buy, was an off brand labeled, "Everyday Value". I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats. They were the same except for the price. The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the GE brand was made in Mexico and the Everyday Value brand was made in a company in Cleveland, Ohio.

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here. So on to another aisle for Bounce Dryer Sheets. Yep, you guessed it, Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce.

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time and stop buying from overseas companies!

Let's get with the program. Help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the USA.
